Wizards go to Fogo de Chao for Brazilian culture

The Wizards are in Brazil to play an exhibition game against the Bulls on Saturday, and in between practices and media appearances, they’re hoping to ingest a little South American culture.

“It’s a good distraction,” Coach Randy Wittman said. “We can really bond. We’ve got some team dinners. We’re going to do a lot of things together, seeing the sights, enjoying that part of it. I want these guys to experience, to have the experience of going out and learning the culture, a new part of the world that a lot of these guys have never been to.”

That going-places-they’ve-never-been-to plan is off to a rough start, as their first team dinner was at Fogo De Chao, which as some fans aptly pointed out, can be found right here in D.C.

Al Harrington posted the above photo from dinner on Instagram. To be fair, Fogo is delicious.

Perhaps the team is dipping their toes into Brazilian culture slowly, especially when Brazilian native Nene is handing out warnings like this one.

Team photographer Kevin Seraphin has been documenting the team’s adventures. They can check “go to the beach” off of Wittman’s to-do list of Brazilian experiences.
