Dallas papers make Redskins shutdown jokes

When the Redskins were on their bye week not long after the federal government shut down, people made jokes.

Now the Redskins are back, but they lost their first game after the shutdown, and people made more jokes.

Both Dallas-area newspapers, in fact, led their sports sections with nods to the shutdown on Monday morning. There were also multiple texts and tweets on Comcast SportsNet’s postgame show late Sunday night to the same effect.
