Tonight’s sold-out Maryland Madness will be the first time basketball activities will be held in the storied Cole Field House in more than 10 years. Maryland has spent the week readying the venue, and there are pictures of the progression here.
Mark Turgeon knows that there were many good times at Cole, and the Terps’ men’s basketball coach asked fans to share their favorites.
Maryland Madness is always a special event. Tonight, it will be extra special as we return to a sold-out historic Cole Field House.

@CoachTurgeon We used to sleep in line at Cole for tickets to the Duke game, and Coach Williams would shake every hand around 6am

@CoachTurgeon so many, but that last game at Cole in 2002, sitting next to an old alum who attended the first game in 1955 was priceless

@CoachTurgeon Every game in Cole was amazing. Seats were too small, too hard, always too hot. Wouldn’t trade for anywhere else!
