Watching Chick Hernandez interview DeAngelo Hall during Comcast SportsNet’s pre-game show on Sunday, I was struck by Hall’s contention that the 2013 Redskins were better than the 2012 NFC East champs.

If the Redskins had gone on to lose to the Bears, I likely would have made a snarky remark about that interview. So since they won, I might as well highlight Hall’s remarks.

Again, this was said before Sunday’s insane shootout win.

“I feel like we’re a better team this year than we were last year,” he said. “Last year, to run off seven in a row, was pretty impressive. And I feel like we’re better this year. But you’ve got to win games. You’ve got to win games. You’ve got to try to string some wins together. You know, you can’t win one, lose four, win one, lose four. You can’t do that. So we obviously have to go on a little bit of a run here…..

“So we’ve got to get better, no doubt about it. Defensively we have to get better, we’ve got to get turnovers. Offensively we’ve got to score points. Special teams, we’ve got to be a much much better group. So collectively, as a whole, we’ve got a lot to get better on, and a lot to work on.”

JERSEY OF THE DAY

In normal times, it’s a bold move to wear Rocca to a Redskins game. With the special teams flailing as bad as special teams can flail, this is really remarkable. Via @OfficialDRK.
