D.C. athletes do Halloween

There were a few sightings of D.C. sports inspired costumes reported on Twitter, but not many photos came our way. Unlike the three that came knocking last year, I had no little Robert Griffin III’s show up at my door looking for candy. But the actual athletes in D.C. did Halloween, and some of them jumped in with both feet.

Like Nick Sundberg and his dog.

And Karl Alzner’s dogs.

Adam Gettis handed out candy at Fair Oaks Mall dressed as the pig from “Saw.”

I think it’s safe to assume that Nats hitting coach Rick Schu is a clown question.

Niles Paul nailed his “Django” costume.

And Lucas Giolito may or may not have lost a bet with this Smurf getup.

Be careful if you got candy from Jan Vesely. You don’t know where it’s been.
