On Wednesday, the Wizards and Caps continued their yearly tradition of traveling around the city, dropping off presents for needy children.

“I got my hat on for the day,” said John Wall, rocking a Wizards-themed Santa hat with antlers. “I’m Alfred. I’m Alfred for the day. I’m Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer’s cousin. I’m Alfred. Alfred Rudolf.”

Wizards teammates Trevor Ariza, Martell Webster, Nene, and Trevor Booker, along with Caps Joel Ward, Nicklas Backstrom, Steven Oleksy, Eric Fehr and Mike Green all took part in the event, called Family-to-Family.

“Getting out into the community is always key for us. We’re just happy to give back,” said Joel Ward, who was also impressed by the height of his basketball-playing companions for the day. “Six-three, six-four is pretty big for us, but to see these guys at six-seven, six-eight is quite a height advantage for sure.”

Here are some pics and videos from the event (another video here), including Alfred Rudolf.
