Makeshift potties at FedEx Field

(Dan Steinberg / The Washington Post)

Hey, no one’s working this week. It’s okay if our editorial standards get a little lax.

I was wandering around a very boisterous FedEx Field on Sunday morning when I saw this truck. Seemed very gently amusing. Haha, local family — like many — is split between two longtime rivals, as indicated by color-coded truck stickers.

So I asked the fine folks tailgating behind this vehicle whether I could take a photo.

They said sure, but then one man eagerly beckoned me over to check out their even more impressive plumbing arrangement.

We went inside a tent, where he showed me this his-and-her potty system. There was a hollowed out water cooler, which served as the “his,” as you can imagine. Then there was a tub with a lid and a plastic bag, for all the ladies out there. There was also toilet paper, and hand sanitizer.

My host challenged me to find a better his-and-her bathroom system at any other FedEx Field tailgate. I did not meet his challenge.
