Robert Griffin III’s tongue closes the season

(Julio Cortez/AP)

A few weeks ago, I painstakingly chronicled every movement Robert Griffin III made during his first game post-benching, and there were a lot of them. Thirty-four of them, to be exact, adding up to 4 minutes and 32 seconds.

By Griffin’s third week on the bench, the cameras had mostly abandoned the quarterback, to the point that several fans watching on TV asked me if RGIII had even traveled to New Jersey for the game.

Well, he had. And during the awful final few minutes of the fourth quarter, when the game was more awful than it had been even in the third quarter, cameras found Griffin again, repeatedly. Leading to this moment, one of Griffin’s final on-camera moments during his rocky sophomore campaign.
