I meant to post this last week, but the Redskins hired a head coach.

Anyhow, it’s still cool: Catholic senior junior swingman Steve Limberiou had a decent game when the Cardinals topped St. Joseph’s College of Maine. Limberiou was 8 of 11 from three-point range en route to 30 points. More importantly, he made all seven three-pointers he tried in the second half. Even more importantly, he made six straight three-pointers in a span of 3 minutes 38 seconds, as seen below.

Catholic was up 47-33 when Limberiou’s barrage started. The Cardinals were up 67-37 when he was finished.

That might be normal if you’re running a gimmicky freak offense, but that’s pretty noteworthy when your team averages a pretty normal 75 points and seven three-pointers a game.

Next time out, Limberiou nearly one-upped himself, making 7 of 12 three pointers, going over 1,000 points for his career, and equaling his career high with 33 points in a win over DeSales. He also made two of his first three three-point attempts in that game, making him 9 out of his last 10 dating to the previous game.

For the season, Limberiou has made 40 of 89 three-pointers, a 45 percent clip.
