The Wizards discuss corporal punishment

(Associated Press)

On a Monday night in Memphis, without a game on the schedule, Wizards guard Garrett Temple began a discussion on Twitter about corporal punishment for children.

Among the people chiming in with an opinion — and there were many — was teammate Trevor Ariza.

Some of their followers, of course, disagreed. Backup guard Eric Maynor voiced his opinion, in a tweet he later deleted.

Jokes aside, Temple engaged pretty intensely with random readers and Wizards fans on this topic, before eventually wrapping things up.

Thus concluded the Wizards’ online discussion of corporal punishment for children.
