One of my favorite sports gimmicks is when a network attaches a microphone to a player during a game to catch the audio. Comcast SportsNet took a page out of that playbook, giving Matt Williams a mike to wear during a spring training workout.

It’s fairly innocuous audio. Williams does manages to slip some “Omahas” in there, and he reveals some advice that Dusty Baker gave him at some point along the way.

“Dusty told me: ‘Matt, don’t think. You’re not very good at it,’ ” Williams said.

Here’s some video, with nice green grass and clean white baseballs and sunshine and April can’t come soon enough.
