A closer look at the Wizards-Bulls Game 4 ratings

(Toni L. Sandys/The Washington Post)

Since a (very) few people continue to show interest in my reports on the TV ratings for the Wizards playoff games, here’s the report from Game 4.

In fact, here are the top 10 metered markets for the Wizards-Bulls broadcast on ABC, which aired in the early afternoon of a beautiful spring Sunday.

1) Chicago 9.0

2) Miami-Ft. Lauderdale 6.3

3) Washington, D.C. 5.7

4) Richmond 5.6

5) New Orleans 5.1

6) Tulsa 5.1

7) Kansas City 5.0

8) Memphis 4.9

9) Raleigh-Durham 4.6

10) Austin 4.5

I have no editorial comment on this information, nor would I want to be accused of being a buzzkill. I think Wizards excitement locally is as high as it’s been in at least eight years, and I think it will get far, far more intense if they advance to the second round.
