Wizards poke back at bad ESPN predictions

(Toni L. Sandys/The Washington Post)

I didn’t make a prediction for the Bulls-Wizards series because I was sick. Had I made a prediction, I probably would have predicted the Bulls would win, because that was the easy prediction to make.

That said, this is a pretty stark look at the dangerous allure of making easy predictions. And in retrospect, the two teams did not seem to be particularly evenly matched. Washington was a lot better. And the team reminded everyone of that fact, in cheeky fashion.

Of course, also bear this in mind when everyone picks Washington to win in the second round.
