Nats Park featured the Wizards-Pacers game

(Via @PorqueJorge)

The Nats were in a rain delay. The Wizards were playing the Pacers in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The D.C. sports teams have entered an era where many of them overtly cheer for each other. Nats Park has a massive video board.

Put all those factors together, and you get the largest Wizards second-round watch party this town has likely ever seen. These are glorious words and images for a town that has known virtually no postseason basketball success for more than 30 years.

Dan Steinberg writes about all things D.C. sports at the D.C. Sports Bog.
