Alfred Morris made the rounds on ESPN’s Bristol campus yesterday, doing several interviews as part of his Madden NFL 15 cover vote campaign. The Redskins running back is one of 16 players vying to be on the cover of the latest edition of the video game franchise.
Morris talked Robert Griffin III.
“I know he’s going to be back to his form from his rookie year, even better,” he told ‘First Take’. “He’s running so much better, he’s feeling so much better. His attitude has changed. I’m just excited about what he’s going to be able to accomplish this year. … We’ve been in offseason programs since April 7, so we’ve been at it for a while. He’s running like a champ. He’s back in his normal form.”
Morris talked coaching change.
“I honestly don’t know if it was needed, to be honest with you,” he told ‘SVP & Russillo’. “I loved the coaches, but that’s just my personal opinion. I’m definitely appreciative of coach Shanahan from drafting me, because the experts said I wasn’t supposed to get drafted, I wasn’t supposed to be a starting running back in the NFL. … But they felt like there was a need for a coaching change, and that’s what happened, and that’s part of the business side of this game that we play. I’m open to the new coaches. I love the new coaches. I’m excited with the plan and the vision that they have for us going toward the future.”
And Morris, who said the Redskins’ 2013 season will “go down in history as one of those unsolved mysteries,” also talked Madden.
Morris’s campaign video is something else. The highlight might be the weight room makeout session Morris orchestrates between an OYO minifigure of himself and a troll doll.
Meanwhile, Luck is campaigning for votes for himself and Colts teammate T.Y. Hilton in Germany.
