Redskins players tweet approval of Bruce Allen’s response to Sen. Harry Reid

After 50 Democratic members of the U.S. Senate sent letters to the NFL about the Redskins team name last week, the team — via President Bruce Allen — responded forcefully and at length.

The team also tweeted a link to Allen’s letter.

And then five of the team’s biggest stars tweeted a link to Allen’s letter, in kind of similar words. Coincidence, probably.

Outside of Robert Griffin III, I’d guess those are the team’s five most popular players. So there seems to be some solidarity there.

Popular alumni also chimed in.

Also, the team’s official account tweeted and re-tweeted other interesting name-related nuggets.
