Bryce Harper confirms engagement after photo shoot was posted online

There was speculation in March — and maybe before — that Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kayla Varner, during the offseason.

On Friday afternoon, @recordsANDradio — who else? — stumbled upon engagement shoot photos of Harper and Varner by California-based Mollie Jane Photography’s site. The photos were removed shortly after they were discovered, as was a post on Mollie Jane Photography’s Facebook page that featured a photo of Harper and Varner kissing in front of the Nationals’s dugout at Nationals Park.

“I had a pretty amazing engagement session in Washington DC a couple of weeks ago,” the Facebook post read.

Harper and Varner confirmed their engagement to The Reliable Source at the Nationals’s Dream Gala on Saturday.

If you’d like to see photos from the shoot, Google is your friend. There are a few sites that may or may not have received permission to post them.
