Wizards’ Martell Webster works as sideline reporter at Mystics game

Wizards swingman Martell Webster has kept busy this offseason with a couple of part-time gigs. At this rate, I expect him to be working as a pool lifeguard or manning the drive-thru at a fast food joint sometime soon.

On Friday, Webster served ice cream and posed for photos with fans at the Nicecream Factory in Arlington, where his childhood friend works as the marketing director.

On Sunday, Webster worked as a sideline reporter and made a guest appearance on the broadcast for the Mystics’s triple-overtime win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

“I’m a rookie, so don’t get mad at me guys,” said Webster, who relayed info from Mystics Coach Mike Thibault’s huddles.
