Redskins players wore white and walked the red carpet at Pierre Garcon’s second annual All-White Charity Event to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington on Thursday.
In addition to about 20 of Garcon’s Redskins teammates, Wizards guard John Wall and D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray also made appearances. Robert Griffin III, who was fitted for a white tuxedo last week, did not attend because he had the flu.
Just like last year, the mayor apparently missed the memo that he was supposed to wear white.
Wall didn’t have any predictions for the NBA Finals, but he’ll be paying attention.
“It’s tough to be watching it now, but I love basketball so I’ll be watching,” he said.
Ryan Kerrigan explained why he chose “The Internship” for Wednesday’s “Movies With Morris” event.
“I thought it was a good balance between being plenty funny and also being fairly family friendly,” he said. “I didn’t want anything too R-rated or too explicit.”
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington National Youths of the year were honored.
Kicker Kai Forbath wore Christian Louboutin sneakers.
Leonard Hankerson was one of the last players to arrive. The Florida native and former University of Miami receiver wore a Miami Heat hat and vowed he’d be watching Game 1. His NBA finals prediction: Heat in 6.
Biz Markie stole the show.
