Redskins long snapper Nick Sundberg eats sliders like a boss

The specialists that stuff their faces together stay together?

On Tuesday, Redskins long snapper Nick Sundberg and kickers Kai Forbath and Zach Hocker gathered at Topgolf in Alexandria for a two-round eating contest organized by‘s Darwin Navarette.

The first round required Sundberg, Forbath and Hocker to down 10 MacDaddy Burger Sliders, which are topped with green chile mac ‘n cheese and a slice of pepper jack. Only one player successfully completed the first round, and you can probably guess which one. (Hint: He’s not a kicker.)

A Topgolf representative reports that Forbath and Hocker tapped out after about five sliders, while a stuffed Sundberg finished all 10 and was declared the champion.

To Forbath’s credit, he was the only player who participated in the defacto consolation Round 2, which involved eating six Inferno Wings. With fans cheering, Forbath polished off the spicy wings in about 10 minutes, and then the trio hit the driving range.

If the kicking competition between the incumbent Forbath and the rookie Hocker is too close to call by the end of training camp, Jay Gruden should seriously consider another eating contest. I, for one, would love to see how many mayo and banana sandwiches those two could put back.
