Bob Carpenter and F.P. Santangelo can’t stop talking about Bryce Harper’s arms

Bryce Harper put on a show during batting practice on Thursday at Nationals Park. He also hit a lot of balls over the fence.

Following Dan Kolko’s second-inning report on Harper’s rehab schedule, MASN broadcasters F.P. Santangelo and Bob Carpenter started joking about the outfielder’s physique. There was much giggling.

F.P.: “Well, I’m thinking he looks a little skinny.”

Bob: “Really?”

F.P.: “My goodness, did you see the guns on that kid?”

Bob: “Yeah…it’s a great feeling to look like that at that age.”

F.P.: “Yeah.”

Bob: “We all remember that.”

F.P.: “That’s how I looked before the accident.”

The back-and-forth continued as MASN cut to pregame video of Harper wearing a K Cancer T-shirt with cut-off sleeves.

F.P.: “Goodness. Somebody feed that kid he’s so skinny.”

Bob: “He looks like a caged tiger to me, can’t wait to get out and do some damage.”

F.P.: “Definitely didn’t walk past the dumbbells while he was on the DL.”

Or maybe he used weighted PlayStation controllers?

Here’s Harper tossing a giant medicine ball really high into the air before Thursday’s game.
