Orioles postgame show on MASN references ‘Washtington’ Nationals

(By Patrick Smith/Getty Images)

In these hyper-charged days of broadcast-rights squabbling between the Nats and the Orioles, fans are peering closely at every development for signs of possible bias.

For example, when the Nats’ broadcast on MASN lost power on Saturday — going to commercial in the middle of the action, and then finally returning with Philly broadcasters — many Nats fans cried foul. Even if they were sort of joking. Possibly.

In that context, then, it’s hard to ignore that the Orioles postgame show late Monday night made reference to the ‘Washtington’ ballclub. I would ask Comcast SportsNet to respond in kind, but they do Baltimore programming themselves. I dunno, Monumental Network? Can we get a Baltimoore or something?
