Redskins rookie Lache Seastrunk has really long fingernails

It’s not always easy to tell if the things you learn in preseason football games are real things or misleading things.

Like, rookie running back Lache Seastrunk had 12 carries for 63 yards on Thursday night. He seemed fast, and explosive, and decisive.

But was this because Seastrunk is fast, and explosive, and decisive? Or was it because the Patriots had ninth-stringers playing, or were fiddling around with their scheme, or were thinking about the flight home?

Here, though, is one thing we learned that appears to be a real thing: Lache Seastrunk has quite lengthy fingernails.

This was pointed out to me by a reader during Seastrunk’s postgame appearance on Comcast SportsNet. And, upon examination, I really couldn’t disagree. Not at all. These fingernails are longer than the average NFL running back’s fingernails.

If we can learn one similarly valuable piece of information each time the Redskins play a preseason game, we’ll be doing okay.
