With Maryland preparing for its first season in the Big Ten, Terps football Coach Randy Edsall wasn’t going to let a couple of former ACC counterparts show him up by getting doused with cold water for a good cause.

A couple of days after Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer and Virginia’s Mike London took the Ice Bucket Challenge, Edsall and Maryland players Matt Robinson and C.J. Brown participated in the campaign to raise awareness for ALS.

Edsall also challenged three former Terps in the NFL — A.J. Francis, Joe Vellano and Dexter McDougle — to do the same.

Francis acknowledged receipt of the challenge with a GIF, while McDougle, a rookie cornerback with the Jets, may have other things on his mind after tearing his ACL in practice on Sunday.
