Bryce Harper accepts the Ice Bucket Challenge

I, for one, am eagerly anticipating the Reddit map of most-hated Ice Bucket Challenges by state, which is undoubtedly in the process of being created as you read this. (Ideally, the map would be blank, because the public awareness campaign has raised more than $1 million for ALS, but we now have an obvious candidate for Georgia.)

That’s right. Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper took the challenge Tuesday afternoon in New York.

Harper, who demonstrated remarkable respect for the Citi Field dirt by accepting the challenge while standing on the infield tarp, had some practice for Tuesday’s dousing after his walk-off home run to beat the Mets last week. Harper continued the #IceBucketChallenge chain by challenging Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and golfer Jordan Spieth.
