Alex Ovechkin takes Ice Bucket Challenge and challenges Eminem

Unlike potential future teammate Paul Bissonnette, Capitals star Alex Ovechkin’s Ice Bucket Challenge did not involve a helicopter and glacier water. Standing in a shower and wearing tight black shorts, Ovi dumped water on himself to raise awareness for ALS. He also announced on Twitter that he made a donation to the cause and challenged Eminem — yes, Eminem — to do the same.

Several other Capitals players have taken the challenge over the past couple of days.

John Carlson

Karl Alzner

Evgeny Kuznetsov

Eric Fehr
