Alfred Morris rides a shark in ‘Cheeseburger in a Coconut’ music video from Lenovo

Lenovo and The Onion collaborated on a promotional fantasy football mockumentary series last year called “Tough Season,” which featured Alfred Morris, Andrew Luck, Matt Forte and several other NFL stars. I never saw it, but the series was apparently successful enough that it’s back for another season. Morris once again plays a prominent role.

At his “Movies with Morris” event in June, Morris told me he’s always been interested in acting, so getting to star in his own video for the EA Sports Madden Cover Vote campaign in May was a thrill.

“Ever since I was a kid I thought being in movies looked so fun, but I had to get over my stage fright at first,” Morris said. “Now I’m way beyond that. Doing the Madden thing, there were people watching us do it and I felt kinda nervous, but I’m glad I did it.”

Based on his performance in the “Tough Season” music video that debuted last week — “Cheeseburger in a Coconut” — Morris’ stage fright has completely vanished.

In the trippy video, Morris rides a shark, sings and dances with Luck (see above) and surfs down an erupting volcano.

He also does his best Clinton Portis.
