Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan was among the Redskins players in attendance at a charity event to benefit the Elaine Shuster Foundation on Monday in Georgetown. Comcast SportsNet reports that Kerrigan, who hosted a live auction at the event, arrived with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
Wozniacki and golfer Rory McIlroy broke off their engagement in May with their wedding invitations in the mail. Since then, Wozniacki advanced to the U.S. Open final, where she lost to Serena Williams, and ran the New York City marathon. McIlroy is the current No. 1 golfer in the world.

Neither Wozniacki nor Kerrigan, who has established a new career high with 9 1/2 sacks this season, spoke about their relationship status Monday.
UPDATE: After asking Kerrigan a few questions about Sunday’s game during the linebacker’s appearance on “Inside the Locker Room” Tuesday, ESPN 980’s Scott Jackson asked Kerrigan about Wozniacki.
“I mean, I don’t really want to get into it,” Kerrigan said. “We’re friends, and she was in town, and she wanted to come to the event. We had a nice time at the event.”
“It’s tough being the most eligible bachelor in D.C., I bet,” Jackson joked.
