For optimistic Redskins fans looking to make a buck, the time to strike is now. Don’t wait until General Manager Scot McCloughan works his magic in free agency and plucks several instant-impact players in the draft. By then, the worst-to-first bandwagon will have left the station.

Several sports books have released early odds for the 2016 Super Bowl and, as one might expect after a 4-12 season, Washington is among the longest of long shots to win it all.

The Redskins are listed at 100-1 at Bovada, which ranks above only Jacksonville and Oakland.

Washington’s odds at Pregame.com and FootballLocks.com are 140-1. At VegasInsider.com, the Redskins are 150-1, which is better than  Tampa Bay, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Oakland.

Among NFC East teams, Dallas is installed as the early favorite on Bovada at 14-1, while Vegas Insider lists the Cowboys and Eagles at 20-1. The Seahawks (5-1 at Bovada) are the favorites to win Super Bowl 50.
