With the Argentinian soccer team in town for a friendly against El Salvador on Saturday at FedEx Field, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin weren’t going to miss out on an opportunity to meet Lionel Messi.
Wearing gear featuring their personal logos, Griffin and Ovechkin attended Argentina’s training session Friday at FedEx Field along with Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov. Ovechkin also wore an FC Barcelona shirt. The players chatted and posed for photos with each other while waiting for Messi to arrive.
