When the Potomac Nationals announced their promotional schedule in November, we may have undersold the “Goonies 30th Anniversary Night” on Aug. 1.

The Steven Souza figurine (June 13), Michael Taylor flattop bobblehead (June 20) and Wilson Ramos Buff-A-rine (July 5) will all be great, but for anyone who loves the cult classic, Aug. 1 is the day to be at Pfitzner Stadium.

In addition to Goonies-themed activities, including a treasure hunt, costume contest and trivia, a to-be-announced Goonies cast member Corey Feldman will sign autographs and the first 2,000 fans will receive a One-Eyed Willie bobblehead. HEY, YOU GUYS! This is awesome.

Beautiful, right? It’s a darn good representation of the original Willie, too. Potomac Nationals logos are featured on Willie’s pirate hat and eye patch, and yes, his wooden leg is a baseball bat.

Fans with one eye will be admitted free on Aug. 1. (Fans with one eye who are named Willie should receive free season tickets for life.)
