Several Nationals players took advantage of a rare free night and an impending off day to attend Game 4 of the Capitals’ second-round series against the Rangers on Wednesday.

A few hours after Bryce Harper hit three home runs and Max Scherzer struck out 10 Marlins in a  7-5 matinee win at Nationals Park, both players were at Verizon Center along with several teammates, including Gio Gonzalez, Stephen Strasburg, Doug Fister, Danny Espinosa, Tanner Roark and Jose Lobaton.

Harper’s shoulders look swole, while Gonzalez keeps it 100.

“Vamos CAPS,” Jose Lobaton wrote on Instagram, which would make @nyrangers cringe. Doug Fister’s wife, Ashley, drew attention to the disturbing lack of hockey emoji.

Here’s a group shot from after the game:

The Nationals’ night out is the latest chapter in recent D.C. sports synergy.

On Tuesday, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III sported a custom No. 10 Nationals jersey at Nationals Park. D.C. United coach Ben Olsen was at Verizon Center for Monday’s Game 3. Wizards players Paul Pierce, John Wall, Marcin Gortat and Rasual Butler attended Game 7 of the Capitals’ first-round series against the Islanders. And five then-Nationals players attended the Capitals’ Winter Classic win over the Blackhawks on New Year’s Day.
