Georgetown mascot Jack the Bulldog delighted fans at Verizon Center last season by rolling across the court on a skateboard during halftime of select Hoyas games. If you arrive early enough to the Georgetown men’s basketball team’s home opener, you’ll go home with a bobblehead version of skateboarding Jack.

That’s a good dog. And that’s a darn good bobblehead.

SkaterJack, who is sporting a No. 89 jersey in a nod to the school’s founding in 1789, will be mailed to all Georgetown basketball season ticket holders. It will also be given out to the first 1,500 fans who enter through the F Street entrance at Verizon Center at the Hoyas’ game against Radford at noon on Nov. 14. The first 500 students at the game will also receive the giveaway.

Georgetown director of marketing Chris Grosse said he thinks “this is the first ever mass-produced canine bobblehead on a working skateboard.” If you’re aware of another one, please let us know.
