Maryland will play Georgetown on Tuesday for the first time in College Park since Dec. 11, 1973, when the Terps routed the Hoyas, 115-83. To help mark the occasion, Maryland Coach Mark Turgeon and members of this year’s Terps team recreated a photo taken of former coach Lefty Driesell with his four seniors from the 1973-74 season.

They nailed it.

[Looking back at the long-dormant Maryland-Georgetown hoops rivalry]

The original photo, which was taken at the Rossborough Inn, featured Driesell flanked by Len Elmore, Jap Trimble, Rich Porac and Tom McMillen. The recreation features Maryland Coach Mark Turgeon flanked by Jake Layman, Rasheed Sulaimon, Melo Trimble and Robert Carter Jr.

The attention to detail in the updated photo is impressive, from the outfits to the poses. I think Trimble (Melo, not Jap) might look even better in those pants than Porac.
