Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper and Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant received keys to the city on Thursday night in their home town of Las Vegas, courtesy of the city’s Mayor Carolyn Goodman. The duo, who played against each other in Little League, were both on hand for the event that drew more than 1,000 people.

“You can’t put it in words how much this means to me, all this means to Kris,” said Harper, the National League’s MVP. “We can’t thank Mr. and Mrs. Goodman enough for having us out tonight, and being able to do this.”

He was also asked about where things stand regarding the Nationals and next season. “Growing up you always dream of that World Series. That’s the main thing in my head, that’s the main goal that I want to happen,” Harper said. “All I want to do is win a World Series. I know if we do that, if we play the way we can this year, that’s all I care about.”
