In an effort to increase the variety of local food offerings at Nationals Park, the Nationals invited D.C., Maryland and Virginia-based vendors to participate in a “Pitch Your Product” contest in November. On Tuesday, the Nationals announced Maryland-based Pinch Dumplings and Virginia-based Haute Dogs and Fries as the winners.

Haute Dogs and Fries, which opened its first location in Purcellville in 2010 and a second location in Alexandria in 2012, offers gourmet hot dogs served on a split-top bun and hand-cut fries. Their restaurant menu features a dozen specialty hot dogs and a create-your-own option with more than 20 toppings. The Nats Park Haute Dogs stand will be by Section 105.

Last season, the Nationals introduced a Virginia-themed biscuit stand to complement the Chesapeake Crab Cake Co. concession stand that opened in 2014. Mike Isabella’s G Sandwich shop also debuted at Nationals Park in 2014, while Jose Andres’s food truck, Pepe, made several appearances in the center field plaza last season.
