Redskins cornerback Josh Norman was in New York on Thursday to promote his partnership with Thync, whose wearable device promises to help users activate their body’s natural state of energy or calm. During a Facebook Live chat with Business Insider reporter Scott Davis, Norman was asked about Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.’s comments in an upcoming issue of GQ about Beckham making Norman “so relevant” in the NFL. Norman managed to remain calm.

“I don’t even know how you respond to that other than laugh,” he said. “I don’t know what you get out of that. I don’t know, man. There’s a time when people who honor themselves will fall short, so when that day comes, we’ll just see.”

Davis followed up by asking Norman if he’s excited for the Redskins’ two games against the Giants this season.

“Am I?” Norman asked rhetorically.

Norman, who spent the first four years of his career in Carolina, went head-to-head with Beckham in Week 15 last season. Beckham was suspended one game after being called for three personal fouls whiled matched up with Norman, who signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the Redskins in April. Beckham told GQ that Norman signed with Washington to guarantee two games against the Giants every year.

“It goes back to what I was saying,” Beckham said. “If I wasn’t playing him twice a year, maybe people wouldn’t bring it up as much. But now it’ll be a lot more media attention for him, attention that I don’t really look for, attention that I don’t need. The reason that he’s become so relevant is because of me.”

During Norman’s interview with Business Insider, he also revealed that he didn’t enjoy the food during Super Bowl week in the Bay Area.

“The food was just not up to par,” Norman said. “I’m just going to be honest with you right now, the food was terrible. Whoever was [leading] that food committee, they did a terrible job. I’m just being honest. It was just like vegans out there or something.”

As for the food in D.C.?

“It tastes a whole lot better,” Norman said. “It’s a sweet and savory taste, too. It lasts a lot longer.”

(Norman must’ve misunderstood a subsequent question about the relative merits of Shake Shack and In-N-Out when he claimed that there was an In-N-Out in North Carolina. If that were the case, there would probably be a lot more free agents signing with the Panthers.)
