Former Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III welcomed his second child into the world Sunday, a daughter named Gloria Griffin.

The proud father celebrated the new member of his family Tuesday by posting a photograph of himself and Gloria’s mother, Grete Sadeiko, on social media.

Griffin’s post came shortly after Sadeiko, whom Griffin proposed to in May, posted her own message on Instagram.

“Our little angel was born,” she wrote Tuesday. “Couldn’t have done it without this man by my side, my backbone. Trying to make me laugh every way possible and keeping me entertained through all the pain and doing everything to make me smile and get through this. You deserve a medal baby! Welcome to the world Gloria Griffin! You are SOOOOO loved by daddy and me!”

Sadeiko, who ran track at Florida State and competed internationally for Estonia, where she was born, added in a hashtag that the baby weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces.

This is Sadeiko’s first child and Griffin’s second. Griffin has a 2-year-old daughter named Reece Ann, who he shares with his ex-wife Rebecca Griffin.
