British rock band Coldplay’s “A Head Full of Dreams Tour” rolled into FedEx Field on Sunday night for a concert that Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins expressed interest in attending last week. It’s unclear whether Cousins made the trip up from training camp in Richmond for the show, but if he did, he was treated to a local team shout-out from Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin.

“One more for your football team,” Martin said as fans cheered following his performance of “Green Eyes.” “We’re going to change gears. This is going to give you good luck for your football team.”

“Oh Redskins,” Martin sang. “Ohhhh Redskins. Oh Redskins. Ohhh Redskins. Ohhhh.”

Two nights earlier, Coldplay was at Gillette Stadium and wished a happy birthday to New England quarterback Tom Brady. The Patriots don’t really need any luck, so it’s a good thing Martin saved that for Sunday’s performance in Landover.
