Red Line trains to Glenmont delayed due to train malfunction

Update, 10:16 a.m.:

Normal service to Shady Grove has resumed, but Red Line trains heading toward Glenmont are once again experiencing delays. This time the delays are due to an earlier train malfunction at Union Station.

Update, 9:29 a.m.

Red Line trains to Shady Grove are experiencing delays due to an earlier train malfunction at Gallery Place.

Update, 8:14 a.m.:

Normal service has resumed on the Red Line.

Original post, 7:45 a.m.:

Inbound Red Line trains are delayed this morning due to a signal problem at the Van Ness-UDC station.

Metro reports that only trains heading toward Glenmont are affected.
