New artwork to grace the New York Avenue Bridge

This should make that drive into the District (or out) a little more scenic.

The D.C. Department of Transportation tweeted a photo of a sculpture being installed Friday on the New York Avenue Bridge Gateway.

It is designed by Kent Bloomer Studio, a firm based in New Haven, Conn., and is part of an effort to liven up what can sometimes be a less than scenic drive into the city.

We’d love to hear what folks think of this piece.
