Montgomery County police say their sobriety checkpoints on Wednesday night, a traditional pre-Thanksgiving evening when people gather with friends, resulted in 13 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Dubbed “Operation Turkey Chase” by the police, the effort also lead to 145 traffic citations, six criminal arrests and three stops of drivers who were on the road later than their provisional driver’s license allowed.
