There is still no official word on when passenger service on the first phase of the Silver Line rail project will begin, but officials working on the 23-mile rail line,  have launched a hotline for members of the public who have questions or concerns about the second phase of the rail project.

The toll-free hotline will be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The number is: 1-844-385-RAIL.

Questions or concerns will be relayed to staff members with Capital Rail Constructors, the contractor responsible for building the second phase of the rail line. Preliminary work on the second phase, which will have six stops, including one at Dulles International Airport, has begun. It is expected to open in 2018.

NOTE: The hotline should not be considered an emergency number. If an individual sees a crime in progress or requires the assistance of police, fire, or emergency medical services, they should dial 911.
