MARC trains on the Brunswick Line have been canceled for Wednesday morning because of downed trees across parts of the track, officials said.

The downed trees are in an area east of Point of Rocks. A train also struck a downed tree on the track.

MARC said Metro is honoring riders’ tickets from its rail line.

Metro said it is not having any weather-related problems this morning but riders are warned to be careful in parking lots, while boarding trains and on platforms because they might be icy.

VRE wasn’t reporting delays Wednesday.

On the roads, crews have been out since early morning throughout the region salting roads.
