DC Water is holding a public meeting Wednesday for Ward 3 residents and businesses who will be affected by upcoming work to increase water pressure in the area.

The work will provide higher water pressure to 5,000 homes and businesses and will require installing pressure-reducing valves in 924 properties to protect indoor plumbing, officials said. DC Water will buy and install the valves at no cost to customers.

The meeting will be held Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the University of the District of Columbia, Building 44, Room  A-03, 4200 Connecticut Ave. NW.
