MARC closes Laurel parking lot because of flooding

MARC officials said its American Legion parking lot at the Laurel station will be closed Monday because of “anticipated severe flooding of the Patuxent River,” officials said in a media advisory.

The closing means there will be 40 percent less capacity, MARC officials said, and there is likely to be no parking at the Laurel station at the peak of morning rush hour.

Drivers are advised to use the Savage or Muirkirk stations instead.
