Drivers should expect delays because of a fire involving an RV on Route 1 at 15th Street in Crystal City, police said.

Route 1 southbound lanes are closed and drivers are advised to avoid the area. Route 1 southbound is expected to be closed for another 30 to 40 minutes, police said, as crews work to clear the RV from the roadway.

The incident was reported just before 9 a.m. and is causing what police said is a “severe traffic disruption.” No one was injured.
