An incident involving six cars that temporarily shut down all lanes of the Inner Loop of the Beltway near the Route 5/Branch Avenue exit has been cleared. Maryland State Police said all lanes were reopened about 1 p.m.

Maryland State Police said some traffic is getting by using the left shoulder. Tow trucks are en route, but there is no estimate for when the lanes will reopen.
