Northbound traffic was temporarily halted, then restricted, on Friday morning after a one-car accident on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

Maryland State Police said that the driver of the vehicle, an adult man, was transported to a hospital after the 8:40 a.m. crash, and the extent of his injuries was not known. No one else was hurt.

Police temporarily stopped all northbound traffic near the accident, which happened just north of Route 100 in Anne Arundel County. By 9:05 a.m., one lane was open, and traffic was moving slowly.
