Metro delays on Red, Blue and Orange lines

Three Metro lines experienced delays Thursday morning.

The Red Line has residual delays in the direction of the Glenmont station. The problem was because of an earlier train malfunction at the Twinbrook stop.  Just before 9 a.m., Metro said normal service had resumed at the Twinbrook station.

On the Blue and Orange lines, there were some earlier delays in the direction of Franconia and Vienna because of a train malfunction at the Federal Triangle station, but those were resolved relatively quickly.
